Obama's Unemployment record:
This data was gathered and contributed by Rocky Mountain Patriot, a member of the Yahoo Answers forum, a former math teacher
and coach whose athletes have appeared in state and national level competition. Note that this spreadsheet also compares
George W. Bush's record along side of Obama. This was done to disprove accusations that Bush was worse. In fact it is Obama
that stands out alone in the cold.
The data came directly from the Department of Labor, except they make no such chart or compilation available. Each weekly entry was made precisely as their website and records appear, but the monthly, annual and cumulative totals of newly unemployed Americans since January 24, 2009 is my contribution. It's the critical next step toward understanding the incredible failure and gutting of the economy we've been forced to endure under the Pretender.
The numbers are simply stunning. That may be why the Department of Labor doesn't offer much in the way of summary or compilation of their weekly unemployment claimant data. Here's a link to the site for the weekly figures.

While this data in itself is alarming, so is the method by which the BLS figures out who is counted and who is not counted. This video gives
a perspective but it does not mention that if you help out in the family business for even 1 day out of the month and for no pay you are
not counted as unemployed.
